Once again we find ourselves enmeshed in the Holiday Season, that very special time of year when we join with our loved ones in sharing centuries-old traditions such as trying to find a parking space at the mall. Child abuse is a huge problem in Australia with over 55,000 confirmed cases in 2008-09 – that’s one child being confirmed as an abuse victim every 10 minutes.  The Channel Seven / ACT for Kids appeal is now on, aiming to raise $500,000 which is how much it costs to provide professional therapy to help another 100 children affected by abuse. Unfortunately, donations are REALLY slow and they’ve only managed to raise enough to help 12 kids so far.
